“To unleash the power of young people, we need to partner with them.” United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon

In 1999, United Nations General Assembly declared 12 of August to be International Youth Day. The theme chosen for International Youth Day 2012 – Building a Better World: Partnering with Youth – is a global call to action for young men and women, as well as other stakeholders around the world, to develop and engage in partnerships with and for youth towards building a better world.

On 10 of August, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Kosovo with support of UNFPA will organize a roundtable to commemorate the International Day of Youth with a motto: “Health education and reproductive health of young people in Kosovo”.

Roundtable held on the occasion of the International Youth Day aims to bring together relevant local and international actors working on the health issues of young people to discuss the current state and direction of development to the future. Recommendations of this event will serve as the basis for sub-working group for health education of young people who will work on reviewing the Youth Strategy 2012-2017.

Roundtable will be held at 10 o’clock in Pristina in restaurant Rings.
