On November 18, UNFPA through its project “Building a better future for citizens of Fushë Kosovë/Kosovo Polje and Obiliq/Obilic: Participation, protection, and multi-ethnic partnerships for improved education, health and sustainable livelihoods” has organized a round table discussion to find out possible ways to improve and support civil registration in these respective municipalities. After the presentations of the current situation by the representatives of each municipality, followed by a constructive discussion, it was emphasized that both municipalities are facing more or less similar problems during the civil registration procedures. It was also mentioned that based on the current legislation and administrative regulations there are no articles that specify details and it can’t be for specific cases

Based on the current situation and the existing gaps in regard to present civil registrations issues, follow up meetings will be organized involving local authorities, civic organizations and faith based organizations, aiming to increase inter institutional cooperation and find possible solutions to overcome the existing problems.
