On the XVII edition of one of the biggest documentary film festivals in Balkans “Dokufest”, UNFPA Kosovo teamed up with the UN Kosovo Office in support of SDGs and to spread the message of 25th anniversary of ICPD as a global revolution.
Walking around the festival locations in one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Kosovo, Prizren, wearing T-shirts with ICPD 25 and UNFPA 50 logos our team interacted with artists, influencers and general population informing them of our aim to Accelerate The Promise and Leave No One Behind.
During this one week we also participated in “Dokutech”, which is a conference within “Dokufest” exploring challenges and social implications of technological innovations. Here we had the opportunity to meet with a lot of brilliant young tech talents and enthusiasts and inform them about ICPD 25 commitments, and their importance for sustainable development in our society.
The festival itself draws the attention of both local and international media and besides documentaries it is a great opportunity for promoting ideas of social change. Thus we used this great opportunity to discuss topics like SRHR GBV and Unfinished Business with various audiences.
